The Douglas Laing Old Particular Mortlach 10 Years Old Single Cask Malt 2009 48.4% ABV 0.7 l + GB is an exceptional single malt from Douglas Laing’s exclusive Old Particular range. This range comprises hand-selected malts and grains from across Scotland, produced to the highest quality standards.

The Mortlach 10 Years Old was matured for 10 years in a refill hogshead, which lends it remarkable depth and complexity. With an alcohol content of 48.4% vol. and a limited release of just 382 bottles worldwide, this single cask malt is a true collector’s item. Like all whiskies in the Old Particular range, this one is also non-chill-filtered and contains no colouring additives, which underlines its authentic character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Aromas of sweet vanilla, spices and a hint of oak.

Palate: Complex and spicy with notes of dried fruit, chocolate and a subtle hint of oak.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm with a subtle spiciness and a pleasant, dry finish.

This whisky is excellent enjoyed neat or with a little water to bring out the flavours even more intensely. It pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, mature cheese or grilled meat. It is also an excellent choice as a digestif after a fine dinner.
