Description
Description
The Justino's Madeira Wine Fine Rich 19% Vol. 0.375 litre is a classic Madeira wine from one of the most traditional houses on the Portuguese Atlantic island of Madeira. The Justino's winery, founded in 1870, is one of the most important producers in the region and stands for the highest quality and authentic enjoyment. The Fine Rich is a traditional blend of different white grape varieties that grow on the barren, volcanic soils of the island. After harvesting, the grapes are vinified using traditional methods and then matured in wooden barrels using the canteiro method. The wine is stored for several years in barrels that rest in the warm attics of the cellars, giving it its characteristic depth, fullness and complexity.
The Fine Rich belongs to the classic Madeira style: it is sweet and powerful without losing any of its freshness and elegance. With its full flavour, density and typical Madeira character, it is a versatile dessert wine that has its place both on its own and in the kitchen. The smaller bottle size of 0.375 litres also makes it ideal for spontaneous enjoyment or as a stylish gift.
Tasting Note
Justino's Madeira Fine Rich has a deep mahogany amber colour with golden reflections in the glass. Intense aromas of dried fruit such as figs and sultanas unfold on the nose, accompanied by notes of caramel, nuts and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety and sweet, harmoniously balanced by a fine, lively acidity. The finish is long, complex and full of warm flavours.
Residual sugar: 105 g/l
Acidity: 5.5 g/litre
This Madeira wine is an excellent dessert companion, especially with chocolate cake, crème brûlée, fruit tarts or caramelised nuts. It also shows its strengths with strong blue cheese or foie gras. It is also popular in fine dining, for example to enhance sauces for game or beef dishes. Served at a temperature of 16-18 °C, it unfolds its full spectrum of flavours and turns every occasion into a special culinary experience.
