Cenote Tequila Añejo is an ultra-premium tequila made from 100% Weber Blue Agave that epitomises exceptional quality, tradition and craftsmanship. Inspired by the fascinating cenotes of Mexico - the natural swimming caves with crystal-clear fresh water that were revered as sacred places by the Maya - this tequila combines purity, elegance and a deep connection to nature.

This añejo tequila undergoes careful double pot still distillation, which ensures exceptional purity and balance of flavours. It is then matured for three weeks in American oak barrels, a comparatively short but effective ageing period that gives it a velvety texture and complex flavour nuances. This maturation enhances the natural sweetness of the agave and complements it with subtle notes of vanilla, caramel and toasted wood.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Intense aroma of sweet agave, underlaid with vanilla, oak and a hint of spice.

Flavour: Full-bodied and velvety, with a perfect balance between the natural sweetness of the agave, caramel notes and a slight spiciness from the barrel ageing.

Finish: Langs and soft with warm oak and vanilla notes.

This Añejo tequila is ideal for drinking straight, ideally slightly chilled or on ice to fully experience its complex flavours. In upmarket mixology, it adds a sophisticated flavour to cocktails such as an Añejo Old Fashioned or a Tequila Manhattan.
