Normindia Gin Distillé is an exceptional gin that combines the French art of distillation with exotic influences from India. It was created by Pierre Martin Neuhaus, the owner of the Domaine Coquerel. Following a six-month journey through India, during which he gathered a wealth of inspiration, and further experience in France and the USA, Pierre decided to develop a gin that reflects the freshness and fruitiness of his estate’s own Calvados – soft and smooth, with a unique spiciness.

Normindia Gin Distillé is distilled in the same small copper pot stills normally used for making Calvados. This traditional method ensures a particularly gentle and pure distillation, giving the gin a flavour that is both smooth and intense. The gin contains 15 botanicals, including both classic ingredients such as juniper, ginger, cinnamon and coriander, as well as exotic botanicals originating from India, such as lilies, cloves and oranges. This perfect blend creates a harmonious balance of spice, sweetness and smoothness.

Nose: A refreshing combination of citrus fruits and juniper, accompanied by spicy notes of cloves and cinnamon, with a hint of ginger and a floral complexity.

Palate: Soft and smooth, with a harmonious balance of fresh apples, oranges, juniper, coriander and a subtle hint of lilies.

Finish: Long and smooth, with a pleasant spiciness of cloves and ginger, perfectly rounded off by the fruity sweetness of apples and oranges.

Normindia Gin Distillé is ideal for a classic gin and tonic, particularly when combined with Mediterranean tonic water and garnished with orange zest or rosemary. It also lends an elegant and fruity note to cocktails such as a gin Martini or a gin fizz. Culinary-wise, this gin pairs particularly well with fresh seafood, grilled vegetables or lightly spiced Asian dishes, which beautifully complement its aromatic complexity.
