Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Sweetish and maritime-smoky with soft peat, gentle smoke, mint chocolate and floral coastal notes, complemented by subtle medicinal and waxy nuances.

Palate: Sweet and powerful with medicinal notes, spicy pepper and dried fruit, accompanied by robust peaty smoke, vanilla and creamy malt.

Finish: Long-lasting and spicy with white pepper, liquorice, cloves and a distinctly salty coastal note.

The Ledaig 10 Years Old is particularly well suited to being enjoyed neat at around 18 to 20 °C, although a few drops of still water can further bring out the smoke and fruit. It pairs particularly well with smoked salmon, strong hard cheeses, grilled lamb or smoked meats. Dark chocolate, liquorice, roasted nuts or vanilla-based desserts also harmonise beautifully with its smoky-sweet character.
