Aqva Lvce Gin is an exceptional gin distilled in the Distilleria dell'Alpe in the Italian Dolomites. The distinctive pufferfish logo on the bottle is a reminder of the gin's deep-rooted history, which goes back to Antonio Levarin, an Italian marine who first came into contact with gin during the First World War. Through his friendship with an English officer, Levarin acquired a passion for gin and began to acquire his own knowledge and produce his own gins after the war.

This gin is distilled in two historic pot stills from the Second World War era, making it a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. The careful selection of 12 botanicals provides a unique blend of flavours, with juniper, cumin, bay leaf, hops, wild thyme, gentian, iris, rosehip, angelica and hawthorn creating a harmonious and complex combination of flavours.

AQVA LVCE Gin, produced in 2023, is characterised by a fresh, spicy and herbal profile and offers gin lovers an intense drinking experience characterised by the tradition and innovation of the Italian art of distilling.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear and crystalline.

Nose: A lively blend of juniper, fresh herbs and a fine citrus note, accompanied by wild thyme and laurel.

Palate: Full-bodied and complex, with intense flavours of juniper, cumin and gentian, rounded off by a fine floral note of iris and rosehip, which give the gin a deep, refreshing spiciness.

Finish: Langs and harmonious, with a spicy aftertaste and a subtle herbal note of hawthorn and angelica.

Aqva Lvce Gin is perfect for a classic gin and tonic or as a base for a gin Martini, where its complex botanicals really come into their own. This gin also brings its characteristic spice and herbal notes to cocktails such as a Negroni or gin Fizzers. For pure enjoyment, it is also ideal on ice or with a zesty twist of lemon or grapefruit.
