Penny Blue VSOP Single Estate Rum is a fine spirit from the island of Mauritius, characterised by its provenance, craftsmanship and a balanced interplay of aromas. Named after the famous and extremely rare ‘Blue Penny’ stamp, which also originates from Mauritius, this rum epitomises exclusivity and authenticity. It is produced at the historic Medine Distillery, the island’s oldest still-operating distillery, which has been continuously producing high-quality rum since 1926.

The VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) rum is distilled from fresh sugarcane juice and molasses, and is then matured for several years in a combination of ex-cognac, bourbon and whisky casks. This gives it a complex yet wonderfully balanced flavour profile with subtle woody notes, tropical fruit and an elegant sweetness. With an alcohol content of 40 % vol., Penny Blue VSOP is pleasantly approachable without losing any of its depth – ideal for connoisseurs who appreciate high-quality rums with a clear provenance and character.
