The Douglas Laing Timorous Beastie 18 Years Old is a limited-edition release from the renowned Remarkable Regional Malts series by Douglas Laing & Co., one of Scotland’s leading independent bottlers. This exceptional blended malt Scotch whisky is composed exclusively of the finest single malts from the Scottish Highlands, each aged for at least 18 years, and is bottled without chill filtration or the addition of colouring agents.

The name ‘Timorous Beastie’ is inspired by the famous line from a poem by the Scottish poet Robert Burns, in which he describes a little mouse that is remarkably lively despite its fear – a symbol of the powerful yet elegant nature of this whisky. With an alcohol content of 46.8% ABV, it displays an impressive balance between honey-sweet smoothness and spicy, woody Highland notes.

Tasting Note

Colour: Brilliant gold.

Nose: Sweet and malty with notes of honey, vanilla, ripe apples and citrus fruits.

Palate: Full-bodied and velvety with flavours of caramel, toasted almonds, cinnamon, oak and a hint of heather.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and spicy with gentle oaky notes and a hint of nutmeg.
