The Arran Single Malt is first matured for over eight years in traditional oak casks, which give it its fundamental structure and balanced flavours. It is then given its distinctive finish in carefully selected port casks sourced from a small, renowned producer in Portugal.

These port casks, which captivate with their sweet and fruity character, are personally selected by the Master to ensure they provide the perfect foundation for a harmonious blend of wine and whisky flavours. This finishing process lends the whisky depth and complexity, with the soft, fruity notes of the port blending seamlessly with the malty and woody tones of the whisky. Tasting Note

Colour: Amber with deep copper-red hues.

Nose: Fruity aromas of dark berries, ripe cherries and plums, accompanied by chocolate and subtle oak notes.

Palate: Full-bodied and sweet with notes of red fruits, honey and dark chocolate, paired with a hint of spices.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering fruit sweetness and gentle oak notes.

It is also an excellent accompaniment to dark chocolate or mature cheese, which bring out its depth and sweetness.
