As part of Douglas Laing’s Remarkable Regional Malts range, it embodies the ultimate expression of the Scottish malt whisky region of Islay.

The Big Peat 12 Years Old is a small-batch bottling, typical of Islay, offering aromas of charred oak, chimney smoke and summer tar, leading to a long-lasting finish with brown sugar, campfire ash and a distinct phenolic quality.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Clean, fresh, salty, oceanic, sweet malt dried over peat.

Palate: Charred oak, fireplace smoke, hints of stony coastlines, summer tar.
