It is bottled without chill filtration and without any added colouring, preserving the whisky’s authenticity and purity.

The 12-year-old The Epicurean Blended Malt Whisky offers a wonderful balance of fresh, fruity aromas and gentle oak notes, developed through long maturation in selected casks. With an alcohol content of 46% vol., this whisky is robust and complex, yet wonderfully rounded and approachable. The combination of the fresh fruitiness of Lowland whiskies and the delicate woody and spicy notes results in a full-bodied yet harmonious tasting experience.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold with a slight coppery tinge.

Nose: Fresh aromas of citrus fruits, green apple and a subtle hint of vanilla, accompanied by delicate woody and spicy notes.

Palate: Full-bodied and rounded, with a harmonious blend of fruity notes, gentle oak and spicy nuances, and a slightly sweet hint of vanilla and honey.

Finish: Long and smooth, with a warm aftertaste of oak and a subtle fruitiness.

Douglas Laing THE EPICUREAN 12 Years Old Lowland Blended Malt is excellent when enjoyed neat, ideally at room temperature to allow the flavours to fully unfold. This whisky also showcases its complexity and fruitiness perfectly when used as a base for cocktails such as a ‘Whisky Sour’ or ‘Old Fashioned’. This whisky pairs particularly well with hearty dishes such as grilled meat and barbecued food, or with fine cheeses such as Brie and Camembert, which complement the whisky’s smooth and fruity flavours wonderfully.
