Jack Daniel's, founded in 1866 by Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel in Lynchburg, Tennessee, is one of the world’s best-known whisky brands. The distillery remains at its original site in Lynchburg, a small town in Moore County known for its historical significance and picturesque landscape. The brand’s Tennessee whisky is made from high-quality Swedish wheat and pure water from the distillery’s own limestone spring, and undergoes the unique ‘Charcoal Mellowing’ process, which gives it its characteristic smoothness and purity.

The label of Jack Daniel's Sour Mash Tennessee Whiskey LEGACY EDITION 2 is predominantly black and bears the words ‘for medicinal use only’ on the label as it appeared at the time. This suggests that this whisky was produced during the American Prohibition era, a time when the production, sale and transport of alcohol were prohibited.

The rope and anchor on the label symbolise Jack Daniel's perseverance and tenacity, whilst the three stars, which also feature in the design, represent the flag of the state of Tennessee, thus highlighting the whisky’s origin and production. These historical design elements lend the Legacy Edition 2 a special nostalgic value and pay tribute to the brand’s rich history.
