Description
Description
Tanqueray London Dry Gin Imported is a London Dry Gin renowned worldwide, with an alcohol content of 47.3 per cent, available in a handy 0.05-litre PET bottle. The original recipe dates back to Charles Tanqueray, who first developed the gin in London as early as 1830. To this day, the recipe has remained virtually unchanged and is one of the best known in the world of gin. Since its launch, Tanqueray has become one of the most successful gin brands and enjoys an excellent reputation amongst both gin enthusiasts and professional bartenders. The distinctive green bottle pays homage to the classic three-piece cocktail shakers of the 1920s and underlines the brand’s close connection to international bar culture.
The exact recipe remains a closely guarded secret to this day. What is known, however, is that four botanicals form the heart of Tanqueray London Dry Gin: juniper, coriander, angelica and liquorice. This balanced combination creates the classic, dry character with a fresh citrus note and an elegant spiciness. The handy 0.05 l PET bottle is ideal for sampling, travelling, events or as a practical single serving for cocktails on the go.
Tasting Note
Colour: Clear.
Nose: Fresh and elegant with earthy undertones, robust juniper and subtle citrus notes.
Palate: Harmonious, with intense juniper, coriander, citrus fruits, angelica and a balanced herbal spice.
Finish: Long-lasting, dry and slightly bitter with a classic juniper note.
Tanqueray London Dry Gin is ideal for a classic gin and tonic with a high-quality Indian tonic water, garnished with a slice of lime or a twist of grapefruit peel. It is also the perfect base for classic cocktails such as the Dry Martini, Negroni, Tom Collins, Gin Fizz or Gimlet. On the culinary front, this London Dry Gin pairs particularly well with oysters, smoked salmon, prawns, sushi, goat’s cheese, antipasti or Mediterranean starters, whose delicate flavours perfectly complement the gin’s spicy freshness.
