What sets Jura The Bay apart from other whiskies is its harmonious blend of maritime influences, sweet sherry notes and the characteristic Jura spice. Whilst many Islay whiskies are known for their strong peaty notes, Jura opts for a more subtle smokiness, which softens over time through maturation in American white oak casks. The finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks lends it exceptional depth and aromatic complexity, bringing together fruity, sweet and spicy elements in perfect harmony.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm amber with coppery highlights.

Nose: Dried fruit, vanilla, honey, dark chocolate, a hint of sea salt.

Palate: Full-bodied, creamy, with notes of raisins, caramel, spicy oak, sweet sherry and toasted nuts.

Finish: Lang, smooth and elegant, with lingering sweetness, subtle spice and a hint of salty sea air.

Jura The Bay 12 Years Old reaches its full potential when enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water. It pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, salted nuts or mature cheeses such as Manchego or Parmesan.
