Don Julio 1942 Tequila Añejo is an exceptional spirit that embodies the essence of craftsmanship, tradition and exquisite flavour. Named after the legendary tequila pioneer Don Julio González, who had a deep-rooted passion for producing first-class tequila, this Añejo pays homage to his legacy and his commitment to the highest quality. As well as his name, this Don Julio also bears the symbolic year ‘1942’ in its name, representing a history and a significant milestone in the world of tequila – it was in that year that Don Julio González began distilling tequila.

Made from the finest blue agaves, carefully selected and grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, Don Julio 1942 is characterised by its refined ageing process. The agave hearts are slowly baked and then distilled in small batches to preserve the pure and rich flavour profile. The tequila is then aged for over two years in fine oak casks that were previously used to age bourbon.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Sweet, vanilla, notes of nuts, almonds and chocolate, a hint of cinnamon and oak.

Palate: Agave, caramel, toffee, caramelised cherries, hints of tropical fruit and spices.

Finish: Long-lasting.
