Redemption Rye Pre-Prohibition Rye Revival 46% vol. 0.7 l is a full-bodied, spicy rye whisky that draws on the tradition of the pre-Prohibition era and reinterprets it with a modern twist. Inspired by the era when rye whisky was the dominant spirit in the USA, Redemption Whiskey uses a mash bill with a high rye content: 95 per cent rye and 5 per cent malted barley. This gives the whisky its intense, spicy yet balanced flavour profile, making it ideal both for drinking neat and for classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned or the Manhattan.

The whisky is matured in new, charred American white oak casks, which lends it a distinctive depth. The higher alcohol content of 46% vol. ensures a powerful yet smooth mouthfeel with a long-lasting finish.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep copper with golden highlights.

Nose: Spicy rye aromas, black peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves, fresh mint, sweet vanilla and a subtle woody note.

Palate: Full-bodied and robust, with pronounced rye notes, warm caramel, orange, dark chocolate, oaky spice and a subtle sweetness.

Finish: Long and dry, with spicy notes of nutmeg, black pepper, subtle smoke and sweet vanilla.

Redemption Rye is ideal for enjoying neat or with a drop of water to bring out its complexity. It is excellent for classic rye cocktails such as the Manhattan or Sazerac. On the food pairing front, it goes perfectly with grilled meat, spicy BBQ dishes, mature Cheddar or dark chocolate with a high cocoa content.
