The Armorik YEUN ELEZ JOBIC Whisky Breton Single Malt is an exceptional French single malt whisky from Brittany, which impressively embodies the fusion of regional tradition, Celtic mythology and intense peaty smoke. Bottled at 46% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle and presented in a high-quality gift box (GB), this whisky is produced by the renowned Warenghem Distillery. Yeun Elez is made using Scottish barley malt heavily peated to 50 ppm, which gives the whisky its distinctive smoky character. Nevertheless, the style remains typically Armorik: elegant, fruity and well-balanced. The name Yeun Elez derives from the mysterious peat bog at the heart of the Armorique Nature Park, which is regarded in Breton legends as the gateway to the underworld. The JOBIC special edition draws on the legend of the young Jobic and the black dog, whose story is also depicted on the packaging.


Maturation takes place exclusively in ex-bourbon casks, harmoniously blending the robust peaty smoke with sweet notes of vanilla and oak. Careful distillation and cask maturation bring out the smoky character in a particularly balanced way. Intense medicinal peat notes are accompanied by fruity aromas and a subtle maritime freshness. On the nose, there are hints of camphor, cloves, bananas, poached peaches and subtle pastry notes, whilst on the palate, robust smoke, fresh citrus notes and a subtle saltiness create an elegant complexity. The long, iodine-tinged and spicy finish ends with pleasant notes of a warming log fire. Its exceptional quality has been recognised with numerous awards, including Best French Single Malt Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2020 and a gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole Paris 2022.

Nose: Intense peaty smoke with camphor, cloves, bananas, poached peach and subtle notes of pastry.
