Pisco means "bird" in the language of the Peruvian natives and is a grape spirit from South America, Peru, which was already produced in the 16th century. Barsol Mosto Verde Italia is a pisco made from semi-fermented Italia grapes. The Italia grape (Uva Italia) is a table grape originally from France. In Peru, it is classified as an aromatic grape for pisco production and enjoys great popularity thanks to its floral, fruity flavour. In the pisco variant Mosto Verde (green juice), the grape juice is only partially fermented and therefore contains residual sugar. While a bottle of simple pisco at Barsol is made from around 5kg of grapes, a bottle of Mosto Verde requires a whole 10kg. The effort is worth it: the Mosto Verde process releases the finest grape flavours and the high-quality piscos are ideal for pure enjoyment. Pisco Mosto Verde Italia is considered "the fruity subtle" among Barsol Piscos!
