High West Double Rye! is a unique blend of two different straight rye whiskies, which complement each other perfectly and offer an exceptional balance of spice, herbs and subtle sweetness. Produced by the High West Distillery in Utah, this whisky pays homage to the American tradition of rye whisky and impresses with its intense yet harmonious aroma.

The combination of a young, robust rye (aged for 2 years) with an older, milder rye (aged for up to 7 years) creates an exciting depth of flavour. The younger whisky brings fiery peppery notes and herbal spice, whilst the older rye contributes soft notes of vanilla and caramel. With an alcohol content of 46% ABV, Double Rye! unfolds its flavours intensely, whilst remaining smooth and well-balanced.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Spicy rye notes with hints of cloves, cinnamon, eucalyptus and a touch of mint.

Palate: Full-bodied and complex with notes of black pepper, liquorice, honey, caramel and vanilla. The herbal spice blends beautifully with a delicate sweetness.

Finish: Lang, warming and pleasantly spicy with a blend of herbs, spices and subtle oak notes.

High West Double Rye! is ideal for drinking neat, but can also be enjoyed with a splash of water or on the rocks to bring out its flavours even more. It is also an excellent choice for classic rye cocktails such as the Manhattan, Sazerac or Old Fashioned, as its spiciness and complexity enhance these drinks. Culinary pairings include smoked meats, tangy cheeses or dark chocolate, as these flavours perfectly complement its spicy and slightly sweet balance.
