Tullibardine Sovereign is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Tullibardine Distillery in the Scottish village of Blackford in Perthshire. The distillery was founded in 1949 on the site of a former brewery and has been producing whisky ever since. In 2003, the distillery was saved from closure when a team of independent investors, led by former investment banker Michael Beamish, took it over. Since then, the Tullibardine Distillery has gone from strength to strength and received numerous awards for its whiskies.

The Tullibardine Sovereign is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky and forms part of the Scottish distillery’s Signature Range. As one of the most popular whiskies in the core range, it is made from high-quality barley and pure, fresh water from the Danny Burn, which originates in the Ochil Hills. Following careful distillation, it is matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, although the exact duration of the maturation is not specified.

This combination of high-quality ingredients and first-class maturation gives the Tullibardine Sovereign its unique character and popularity amongst whisky enthusiasts.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Malty, smooth, pears, barley, chocolate, vanilla custard.

Palate: Spicy, apples, pears, cinnamon, pepper, mint, ginger.

Finish: Long-lasting, with notes of nut.
