The history of Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum began over 270 years ago in a unique, mystical place known as the Nassau Valley. This area is characterised by a rare karst landscape featuring cone-shaped limestone formations, caves and underground springs. This distinctive terrain acts as a natural filter for the rain, producing crystal-clear water and lending the sugar cane plants in this valley region a unique flavour profile.

Appleton Estate is deeply rooted in Jamaican tradition, with the distinctive spirit of the people not only shaping the rum but, above all, defining the company’s identity. For this reason, the Appleton Estate logo consists of a combination of five iconic Jamaican symbols that tell a story of passion, dedication and a zest for life.

This rum is also known as Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Years Old and was renamed Appleton Estate Rare Casks 12 Years Old in 2021. This premium rum, with its deep amber colour, is produced in old copper stills and is a ‘hand-blended’ blend of various rum varieties, aged for up to 18 years in oak casks. An excellent and affordable introduction to the world of premium Jamaican rums.
