The Don Q brand owes its name to Miguel Cervantes’ world-famous novella *Don Quixote*. The Serrallés family, who produce this premium rum in Puerto Rico according to an age-old family tradition, have created a truly special product in the form of Don Q Double Cask Finish. This rum is the result of a careful blend of rum varieties produced using both continuous and batch distillation processes.

Don Q Double Cask Finish was initially matured from October 2009 to July 2012 in American white oak bourbon casks and was carefully blended in May 2018, before the rum varieties were given their final touch from June 2018 onwards through further maturation in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.

Bottled in 2020, this rum is characterised by its unique flavour and remarkable depth, which result from the extended contact with the sherry-soaked wooden casks. This special ageing process gives the Don Q Double Cask Finish a distinctive character that sets it apart from other rums and makes it an exceptional treat.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold.

Nose: Dulce de Leche spread, raisins, leather, dried herbs, spices.

Palate: Crisp, dry, fruity, cedar wood, orange sorbet, vanilla.

Finish: Long-lasting.
