The Hillinger Secco Muskat Ottonel 11.5% ABV, 0.75 l, is a light, sparkling wine from Burgenland that perfectly showcases the distinctive aromas of the Muskat Ottonel grape variety. The Leo Hillinger winery is one of Austria’s most modern and renowned estates and is renowned for innovative wine styles that combine elegance with drinking pleasure. With the Secco Muskat Ottonel, Hillinger presents a delicately sparkling wine that impresses with its freshness, playful fruitiness and lightness.
The grapes come from the sun-drenched vineyards of Burgenland, where fertile soils and the Pannonian climate create ideal conditions for ripening. Following a careful harvest, the wine is fermented in stainless-steel tanks to preserve the variety’s aromas in their purest form. The addition of carbon dioxide gives it its fine effervescence. With an alcohol content of 11.5% vol., it is pleasantly light, fresh and ideal for carefree moments of enjoyment.
Tasting Note
In the glass, the Hillinger Secco Muskat Ottonel shines with a pale straw-yellow colour and greenish highlights. On the nose, intense aromas of fresh Muscat grapes, lychee, elderflower and citrus fruits dominate. On the palate, it is lively, fruity and aromatic, with a delicate residual sweetness and fresh, well-integrated acidity. The bubbles are fine, and the finish is light and elegant.
