Bonaventura Maschio PRIME Zibibbo 40% ABV, 0.7 litres, in a gift box online kaufen

"Prime" is a long-cherished dream: to capture in a spirit the same emotions and flavours that only the most famous Italian wines can offer.

To make this dream a reality, we collaborated with fellow producers. Step by step, the maturation of the spirits in their casks was closely monitored, and we use the very same casks that once held the respective wines, in order to preserve the original soul of each grape.

For the Prime, a typically Venetian packaging design was chosen to celebrate the region as the centre of a small world of dedication, research and development.

The raw material for this exquisitely delicate spirit is the aromatic Zibibbo grapes from Pantelleria, grown in the Donnafugata vineyards. Divided into small crates, a swift journey in a refrigerated environment ensures the purity of the grapes upon their arrival at the distillery, within 48 hours of harvest. They are then gently pressed and undergo controlled fermentation, followed by distillation in exclusive copper stills, which operate under vacuum at low temperatures.

Every stage of the process has been designed to preserve the primary aromas of these particularly prized grapes as effectively as possible.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear, with a slight golden sheen.

Nose: Aromas of Zibibbo grapes, nutmeg, citrus fruits and subtle floral notes.

Palate: Fruity, sweet, citrus, nutmeg, floral accents; harmonious and full-bodied.

Finish: Long, sweet, with a delicate, pleasant fruitiness and a hint of spice.

Bonaventura Maschio PRIME Zibibbo is excellent as an aperitif, either neat or on the rocks, but can also be used as an ingredient in cocktails such as a Zibibbo Sour or a fruity spritz. A distinctive liqueur brandy that reflects Italian tradition and is ideal both for enjoying neat and for creative mixed drinks.
