El Libertad 8 Years Old Flavor of Darkness Dark Oak Spiced Rum Chapter III is an exceptional spirit which, with an alcohol content of 48.1% vol. and a volume of 0.7 litres, offers an intense and complex taste experience. This third chapter in the El Libertad series is dedicated to the ‘flavour of darkness’, which is reflected in the unique complexity of this rum. El Libertad 8 Years Old Oak Spiced Rum is produced from high-quality, distilled molasses rum and is aged for eight years in old white oak casks, which gives it its characteristic depth and complex flavour profile.

This spiced rum is a masterful creation by the Master Blender, who combines Dominican rum with 100% natural spices whilst incorporating surprising flavours from sherry casks. The ageing in white oak casks and the addition of natural spices result in a harmonious yet powerful rum that exhibits both complex sweet and spicy notes. El Libertad Chapter III is thus a true meisterwerk that stands out from other spiced rums thanks to its intense variety of flavours and robust character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber.

Nose: Rich aromas of vanilla, spices, caramel and a subtle hint of sherry.

Palate: Full-bodied and intense, with notes of dark chocolate, spices, oak and a slight sweetness from dried fruit.

Finish: Long-lasting and powerful, with warm spiciness and a hint of sherry and oak.
