Description
Description
The Polz Winery, situated in southern Styria, Austria, is distinguished by its ideal viticultural location. Founded in 1896, it enjoys a reputation for producing high-quality wines, thanks to optimal climatic conditions and specific soil characteristics. Under the leadership of the fourth generation, the winery strives to preserve its heritage and continue the family tradition with a strong focus on sustainability. Responsible for the cellars and winemaking, Christoph Polz emphasises meticulous manual labour and selective grape harvesting, which underlines the quality of the wines.
The Polz Brut Blanc is a sparkling wine made from 100 per cent Chardonnay grapes. It is vinified using the Méthode Traditionnelle, a process involving bottle fermentation. This process contributes significantly to the wine’s quality and flavour profile. The Brut Blanc reflects the terroir of Southern Styria and offers an authentic first impression of this wine region. The bottle is sealed with a natural cork.
Tasting Note
A brilliant greenish-yellow colour in the glass. On the nose and on the palate, very delicate aromas of brioche, with subtle spice and juiciness. A long-lasting finish.
Serving temperature: 4–6 °C
