Description
The Glengoyne Distillery is situated in the Southern Highlands of Scotland, near a small river which flows into the famous Loch Lomond. Since 1833, the distillery – one of the few still producing whisky in this part of Scotland today – has been producing the excellent Glengoyne whisky. Initially, this whisky distillery operated under the name Brunfoot Distillery; it was not until 1907 that it was given the name it bears to this day.
As it ages, the fruitiness and intensity of Glengoyne increase. Aromas of ripe fruit blend harmoniously with the oaky notes from the casks. Glengoyne 25 Years Old The First Fill is matured for 25 years in sherry casks and is bottled without any colouring additives.
Tasting Note
Colour: Light amber.
Nose: Red fruits, aged leather, toffee, brown sugar.
Palate: Smooth, fruity, toffee, hints of cinnamon.
Finish: Very long-lasting, spicy liquorice.
