Following double distillation in copper stills, pure eaux-de-vie is produced, which forms the basis for this cognac.

Hennessy Very Special is aged for over eight years in French oak casks, during which time it develops remarkable complexity and depth. The ageing in oak casks gives it a harmonious balance of fruity and woody notes, making it a mild and full-bodied delight. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., this cognac is robust, yet gentle and smooth on the palate.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Aromas of fresh fruit, particularly apples and pears, accompanied by a subtle woody note and a hint of spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and well-balanced with notes of vanilla, oak and a hint of cinnamon. The fruity sweetness is complemented by a gentle spiciness.

Finish: Long and harmonious with a pleasant oaky spiciness and a subtle fruity note.
