Steinbach N°12 Alter Apfel is a fine apple brandy from Styria, produced with great care and in keeping with centuries-old distilling traditions. Produced by the renowned Lackner Tinnacher winery, which has been renowned for its excellent wines since 1770, this apple brandy reflects the fine art of distillation. Wilma and Fritz Tinnacher ran the winery for over 30 years before their daughter Katharina Tinnacher took it over in 2013 and has been passionately continuing the family tradition ever since.

As well as viticulture, the winery also specialises in processing hand-picked fruit from its own Styrian orchards. The apples used for the Steinbach N°12 Alter Apfel come from a fine selection of Gravensteiner and Golden Delicious apples. After distillation, the brandy is matured for 10 years in small oak casks, allowing it to develop exceptional depth and a perfectly balanced harmony between fruit, wood and spicy notes. It is bottled in accordance with the 18th-century Maria Theresa Distilling Act, which underscores the region’s long tradition of distilling.
