Kyrö Dark Gin is a unique take on a barrel-aged gin, inspired by the harsh and changeable Finnish weather. At 42.6% ABV, this exceptional gin offers a profound balance of spicy rye, complex botanicals and subtle woody notes. It comes from the innovative Kyrö Distillery Company, a Finnish distillery founded as recently as 2014 that specialises in rye distillates.

Kyrö Dark Gin is made from 100 per cent whole-grain rye, which gives it a robust, slightly peppery base. Refined with 17 carefully selected botanicals, including orange, honey, birch leaves and Sanddorn, it develops a multi-layered aromatic profile. What makes this gin special is its 2- to 3-month maturation in American oak casks, which imparts additional subtle notes of vanilla and caramel. This gin is also vegan and gluten-free, making it a conscious choice for connoisseurs.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Juniper, ripe oranges, birch wood, subtle hints of honey, delicate vanilla.

Palate: Full-bodied, spicy rye, fresh citrus fruits, herbs, Sanddorn, a hint of oak.

Finish: Long-lasting, pleasantly dry, vanilla, gentle caramel and spice notes, subtle toasted notes.
