Elephant Gin Orange & Cocoa is a unique and sophisticated creation from the renowned Elephant Gin, which is known not only for its excellent flavour but also for its commitment to wildlife conservation. The story of this gin began on adventurous journeys through Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, where the brand’s creation combined not only a love of gin but also a deep commitment to the protection of elephants and other wildlife. For every bottle of Elephant Gin sold, 15 per cent of the profit goes towards elephant conservation projects in Africa, which is also where the gin gets its name.

Elephant Gin Orange & Cocoa is produced in Germany, where the gin is distilled in small batches with the utmost care using a copper still in an Arnold Holstein still. Particularly noteworthy is the use of 14 carefully selected botanicals, including rare African ingredients such as freshly picked apples from nearby apple orchards, which lend the gin a distinctive fruitiness. This Orange & Cocoa variant also features harmonious notes of orange and cocoa, which lend it a delicate sweetness and complexity.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear with a slight golden sheen.

Nose: Fresh, fruity aromas of orange, combined with a subtle hint of cocoa and a touch of cinnamon and spices.

Palate: Full-bodied and smooth, with a harmonious blend of sweet citrus fruits, cocoa and a delicate herbal note. The fruity freshness of the oranges blends perfectly with the sweetness of the cocoa and a slightly spicy depth.

Finish: Long and smooth, with a sweet cocoa note and a subtle orange freshness that lingers gently.

Elephant Gin Orange & Cocoa is ideal for cocktails such as a Chocolate Orange Martini or a Gin Fizz, where the fruity and chocolatey notes really come into their own. This gin is also a real highlight as the base for a classic gin and tonic, served with a high-quality tonic water and a slice of orange or dark chocolate.
