The Glasgow MALT RIOT Blended Malt Scotch Whisky pays homage to Glasgow’s rebellious history and the resilience of its people. Inspired by the Malt Riots of 1725, when the city’s inhabitants protested against the introduction of a tax on malted barley, this whisky combines tradition with modern craftsmanship.

Produced by the Glasgow Distillery, which was originally founded in 1770 and revived in 2013, this blended malt is a blend of the Glasgow Distillery’s single malt and other carefully selected Scottish single malts. The result is a smooth, well-balanced whisky with fruity and spicy notes that will appeal to both newcomers and seasoned connoisseurs.

With an alcohol content of 40% ABV, the MALT RIOT offers an accessible yet complex flavour profile that comes into its own when enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in cocktails.

Nose: Fresh citrus fruits, apple, vanilla and subtle hints of honey with a delicate malty character.
