Martell Blue Swift Spirit Drink represents a bold fusion of Martell Cognac craftsmanship and modern barrel ageing, and is one of a range of cognac specialities. This bottling is based entirely on Martell VSOP Cognac, a blend of carefully distilled eaux-de-vie that have been aged for at least four years. However, due to its subsequent finishing in bourbon casks, Martell Blue Swift no longer meets the strict requirements of the Cognac AOC and is therefore officially classified as a cognac-based spirit drink. Bottled at 40 per cent, this speciality is smooth, rounded and exceptionally modern.


Historically, Martell Blue Swift builds on Maison Martell’s close ties to the United States. As early as 1783, Martell was the first cognac house to export cognac to the USA. With Blue Swift, Martell celebrates this history with yet another first, as it is the world’s first spirit drink made from VSOP cognac and finished in bourbon casks. Thanks to Martell’s characteristic distillation process, the eaux-de-vie absorb the vanilla, wood and toasted aromas of the bourbon casks with particular finesse. The classic Martell style, with its notes of candied fruit and plum, remains clearly recognisable and is complemented by a subtle sweetness and toasted oak.

The Martell Blue Swift Spirit Drink, based on cognac, is ideal for drinking neat, on the rocks or as a base for long drinks and cocktails, where its bourbon cask notes really come into their own. It pairs particularly well with ginger ale, cola or soda, which elegantly highlight the fruit and vanilla flavours.
