The Dictador Generations en LALIQUE 1976 is an exceptional ultra-premium rum rarity from Colombia, combining long-aged rum with French crystal craftsmanship. The 43% ABV bottling is presented in an exclusive 0.7 l Lalique crystal decanter, complete with a gift box and a 0.03 l sample. The blend was created by Dictador Master Distiller Hernán Parra, who combined carefully selected matured rums into a complex blend for this edition. The 1976 vintage underscores the exceptional character of this bottling. With only 300 bottles in existence worldwide, the Dictador Generations en Lalique 1976 ranks among the Colombian distillery’s most rare collector’s editions.


A key distinguishing feature is the collaboration with the French crystal manufacturer Lalique. The specially designed Lalique crystal decanter is inspired by the reflections and flowing movements of the Caribbean Sea and combines clear with satin-finished crystal. As a result, each bottle is not only a vessel for an exceptionally matured rum, but also a high-quality collector’s item. The combination of vintage rum from 1976, Hernan Parra’s signature style, exquisite crystal craftsmanship and a worldwide limited edition of just 300 bottles makes the Dictador Generations en Lalique one of the most exclusive releases in the Dictador portfolio. The accompanying 0.03 l sample also allows for tasting without having to open the Lalique decanter.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep, dark amber with mahogany-coloured highlights.

Nose: Polished wood, leather, ripe plums, cloves, cocoa, black cherries, nutmeg, cinnamon, mahogany, grilled pineapple and a hint of rose petals.

Palate: Complex and full-bodied with dark chocolate, flambéed orange peel, cloves, nutmeg, dry oak, leather, Madagascan vanilla, premium coffee and star anise.

Finish: Long-lasting and multi-layered, with smoky cigar tobacco, oaky spice, raisins, stewed plums, Medjool dates, fig leaf and dark chocolate.

The Dictador Generations en LALIQUE 1976 is designed to be enjoyed neat at room temperature and should ideally be served in a high-quality nosing glass, allowing sufficient time for the flavours to develop. For savoury dishes, it pairs well with beef fillet, game or long-matured hard cheeses, whilst dark chocolate, dates, figs and desserts featuring coffee or cocoa complement its mature and spicy notes. Due to its extreme rarity, this edition is particularly recommended for special anniversaries, exclusive tastings and exceptional moments of indulgence. The 0.03 l sample included is ideal for tasting, whilst the limited-edition Lalique decanter can remain unopened.
