The Glen Scotia Campbeltown 1832 Single Malt embodies the traditional character of the historic Campbeltown whisky region, combining maritime freshness, subtle smokiness and balanced sweetness in a harmonious overall profile. This bottling was initially matured in fine American oak casks before undergoing a supplementary finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This combination results in a single malt that displays both spicy, woody and fruity notes, developing a pleasantly complex structure. The natural yellow-gold colour is achieved without any colouring, and the whisky is bottled unchill-filtered, ensuring that its texture, depth and authentic flavours are fully preserved. The presentation in a matching gift box emphasises the special character of this edition.


The style of this Campbeltown single malt is deliberately straightforward and features a pleasant, finely balanced peaty note. On the nose, ash, smoke and caramel combine with fresh notes of pineapple and oak, as well as mild hints of dates, dried mango and vanilla cake. Earthy undertones, green peppercorns and a hint of cardamom round out the profile. On the palate, smoke and caramel reappear, accompanied by a hint of a salty breeze, wood, subtle char and vanilla cake. Delicate hints of mango, cardamom and green pepper round off the flavour profile. Overall, it is pleasant, well-balanced and offers well-defined complexity, without excessive sweetness or overpowering smokiness.

Finish: Medium-length, characterised by smoke and brine, accompanied by vanilla sweetness and warm spice.

This Campbeltown single malt is excellent with smoked fish, grilled seafood or hearty meat dishes with roasted flavours, as its smoky and slightly salty character complements these dishes perfectly. It pairs harmoniously with mature cheeses such as Cheddar or spicy Gouda. Nutty desserts, chocolate tarts or lightly spiced pastries also pair excellently with its sherry and woody notes.
