Kamiki Whisky Intense Wood Blended Malt Whisky is an exceptional spirit that combines tradition, spirituality and modern distilling craftsmanship. Produced in Japan and named after the spiritual city of Nara, this whisky pays homage to the ancient art of whisky-making and its connection to nature. Particularly noteworthy is the maturation in Japanese Yoshino-Sugi casks (Japanese cedar) – a cask type unique in the world that lends the whisky its unmistakable aroma.

The Intense Wood Edition is the most powerful expression in the Kamiki Whisky range. It combines various internationally produced malt whiskies, which are first matured in traditional oak casks and then given their distinctive finish in Sugi wood casks. The result is an intensely woody, multi-layered blended malt with a distinctive character. With an alcohol content of 48% vol., the whisky is bottled unadulterated and unchill-filtered – a true experience for connoisseurs and lovers of Asian whisky craftsmanship.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold with an amber sheen.

Nose: Complex and exotic, with cedar wood, dried apricots, honey, spices and a hint of smoke.

Palate: Intense and complex, with a dominant woody presence, spicy malt, toasted nuts, dark vanilla and a hint of smoke.

Finish: Long-lasting and dry, with elegant wood, slightly peppery notes and a hint of incense.
