Cotswolds SINGLE CASK 5 Years Old Single Malt Whisky is a powerful and excellent whisky with an alcohol content of 60.6% vol. and a volume of 0.7 litres. The whisky is distilled from 100% local, floor-malted barley, which gives it a special, characteristic flavour that is typical of the region. The Cotswolds Single Cask is matured in first fill STR (Shaved, Toasted, and Re-charred) casks, which gives it a deep complexity and intense flavours of oak and spice.

This whisky was distilled on 17/07/2016 and bottled on 10/09/2021, and it is a limited bottling of only 285 bottles, making it a particularly exclusive product. The maturation and choice of casks contribute to a unique flavour experience that is characterised by its strength and balance. The Cotswolds Single Cask 5 Years Old offers an interesting blend of smoky and fruity notes and is a true masterpiece of whisky production.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Intense aromas of dried fruit, caramel and slightly spicy oak, with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon.

Taste: Full-bodied and strong, with flavours of toffee, dried fruit, a mild spicy note and a hint of oak.

Finish: Long lasting, with a pleasant warmth and a combination of sweet caramel notes and a subtle spiciness.

Cotswolds SINGLE CASK 5 Years Old is excellent on its own or with a drop of water to open up the flavours. The whisky goes perfectly with strong cheeses such as Stilton or mature Cheddar. This whisky also harmonises perfectly with smoked meat or grilled beef. For a special experience, the Cotswolds Single Cask 5 Years Old can be used in a whisky sour or an old fashioned.
