The Cardenal Mendoza NEBULIS Rare Cask Finished 40% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exceptional brandy, drawing on over 200 years of tradition at the renowned Sanchez Romate distillery. Located in the heart of Spain’s Sherry region, this distillery produces this unique brandy with the utmost precision and craftsmanship. Cardenal Mendoza is named after Don Pedro Gonzales de Mendoza, who became known not only for his great influence on the Spanish royal family, but also as an adviser to Christopher Columbus under the title ‘El Gran Cardenal de España’.

The NEBULIS Rare Cask Finished is produced on the basis of the Cardenal Mendoza Clásico. This is first matured for 15 years in ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which already lends it a deep complexity. It is then aged further in small, charred 250-litre wooden casks, which lend it exceptional complexity and unique aromas. The name ‘Nebulis’ comes from Latin and means ‘from the clouds’, which underlines the rare and almost mystical nature of this exceptional Cardenal Mendoza.

The Cardenal Mendoza Nebulis is limited to just 10,000 bottles, making it a true rarity that will delight both collectors and connoisseurs alike.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep, dark mahogany.

Nose: Complex aromas of Oloroso sherry, dried fruit, caramel and spiced oak, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and cinnamon.

Palate: Rich and velvety with a harmonious blend of fruity notes, woody accents, toasted nuts and a subtle sweet spiciness.

Finish: Lang and elegant with lingering notes of sherry, oak and a pleasant sweetness that fades gently.
