During the production process, rose petals are steeped in hot water to extract their delicate essences as gently as possible. This technique ensures that the alcohol content is specifically mellowed whilst preserving the delicate interplay of herbal and floral notes. The careful selection of botanicals – including basil, violet root, orange peel, juniper berries and lemon balm – lends Violet Gin an extraordinary depth and harmony that unites classic and modern flavour profiles.

With an alcohol content of 43 % vol., this gin is both expressive and subtly nuanced – a true statement from Austrian gin culture, conveying an emotional message and showcasing exceptional craftsmanship.

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Floral and delicate, with rose petals, fresh basil, citrus notes, violets and a hint of juniper spice.

Palate: Complex, smooth and multi-layered with tart freshness, floral nuances, a hint of sweetness, delicate herbs and a bitter-fruity finish.

Finish: Long-lasting, gentle and aromatic with lingering floral depth and elegant citrus spice.

Wien Gin Violet comes into its own in a classic gin and tonic with a floral tonic water and a garnish of dried rose petals or basil. It also shines as a base for modern cocktails such as the Violet Fizz or Blossom Martini. An excellent accompaniment to fine aperitif platters, goat’s cheese with lavender honey, light desserts featuring citrus or berries, or simply as a stylish moment of indulgence in good company.
