Plantation Rums have long since ceased to be an insider’s tip. These excellent rums are sourced mainly from the Caribbean and South America, before being transported to France, where they receive their final finishing touches. In Ars, France, the rum is subsequently stored for several months in small, decommissioned oak Cognac casks. This method of ageing is known as ‘double ageing’, a technique that was already in use in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Plantation Rum Australia Single Cask Sherry Palo Cortado Finish 2009 45% ABV 0.7 l is aged for 11 years in bourbon casks and then for 1 year in FERRAND casks. This rum is finished in Sherry Palo Cortado casks.

Finish: Long-lasting.
