Polz Brut Rosé 11.5% is an elegant Styrian rosé sparkling wine produced by the long-established Polz winery in Southern Styria. The carefully crafted sparkling wine cuvée, made from Pinot Noir and Zweigelt, combines two red grape varieties whose contrasting characteristics complement each other perfectly in the production of sophisticated rosé sparkling wines. For this speciality, the Polz Winery employs the Méthode Traditionnelle, the classic bottle fermentation method, in which the second alcoholic fermentation takes place directly in the bottle. This labour-intensive production process is one of the most time-honoured methods of sparkling wine production and forms the basis for the exceptional quality of this Austrian sparkling wine.

A key distinguishing feature of the Polz Brut Rosé sparkling wine is its extended ageing period of two and a half years, or 30 months, on the fine lees in the bottle. During this ageing process, the sparkling wine continues to develop, gaining in complexity and structure. The long ageing on the lees emphasises the sophisticated character of the cuvée and sets it apart from many sparkling wines that have been aged for a shorter period. The long-lasting finish reveals a particularly fine effervescence, which, together with the lively acidity, ensures an elegant conclusion.

It pairs particularly well with smoked salmon, prawns, tuna tartare and delicate fish starters, whose texture is complemented by its lively acidity.
