Talisker 25 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an exceptionally long-matured expression from the historic Talisker Distillery on the Scottish Isle of Skye. The distillery was founded in 1830 and remains closely linked to the island’s rugged, maritime landscape to this day. For this 25-year-old single malt, malted barley is used and then traditionally distilled in copper stills. The whisky is then given a quarter of a century to mature in carefully selected oak casks. The long cask maturation lends the characteristic Talisker style additional depth and combines its typical maritime and smoky qualities with the complexity of a long-matured Scotch whisky.


At 45.8%, the Talisker 25 Years Old is presented in a 0.7-litre bottle, complete with a gift box. A hallmark of Talisker is the combination of peaty smoke, maritime influences and peppery spice, which also takes centre stage in this matured expression. Tasting Note

Colour: Rich gold to amber.

Nose: Complex and maritime with subtle peat smoke, salty hints and spicy notes, accompanied by roasted nuts and a hint of vanilla.

Palate: Powerful and well-balanced, combining sweetness with a maritime saltiness, alongside roasted nuts, vanilla, smoke and the characteristic peppery Talisker spice.

Finish: Long-lasting and warming, with smoke, pepper, subtle oak spice and a maritime aftertaste.

Talisker 25 Years Old is best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a nosing glass, allowing the complexity developed over 25 years of maturation to unfold fully. A few drops of still water can open up the powerful smoky and spicy notes and bring out additional facets. Culinary pairings such as smoked salmon, oysters, strong hard cheeses or dark chocolate complement its maritime and smoky character.
