Tasting Note

Colour: Yellow gold.

Nose: Fruity notes of jam and mild spices blend with subtle hints of wood and a touch of vanilla.

Palate: Delicate and elegant on the attack, followed by a fruity and rounded mid-palate with harmonious spice and subtle oak notes.

Finish: Oaky and slightly spicy with a balanced, elegant aftertaste.

Cognac Leyrat Assemblage N° 1 can be served neat at room temperature, on the rocks or as a base for premium cognac cocktails. One of the producer’s suggested ways to enjoy it is the ‘Passion Flash’: to make this, pour 4 cl of Cognac Leyrat Assemblage N° 1 and passion fruit juice into a glass filled with ice cubes and stir. The drink is then topped up with tonic water and garnished with fresh mint leaves. The recipe provided lists passion fruit juice twice, each time as 5 cl, which means it is not entirely clear from the instructions whether a total of 5 cl or 10 cl is intended.
