Description
Pfanner Williams Schnaps is a time-honoured, high-quality spirit characterised by its intense aroma and fruity flavour. Produced by Pfanner & Gutmann Getränke GmbH, a respected company with over 160 years’ experience in the art of distilling, this fine schnapps combines traditional craftsmanship with modern sophistication. The Pfanner family is now in its fifth generation of practising the art of distillation and attaches particular importance to the quality of the raw materials used and to meticulous processing.
The basis of this first-class schnapps is the famous Williams pear, a variety known for its intense aroma and juicy, sweet flavour. Originally cultivated in France in 1828, the finest Williams pears are now grown in the Wachau region and on Lake Constance, where they enjoy ideal climatic conditions. After being carefully harvested, the fully ripe pears are mashed and then processed using a gentle distillation method. This method preserves the full fruit aroma and gives Pfanner Williams Schnaps its unmistakable richness of flavour. The result is a particularly pure and aromatic spirit with a harmonious balance of fruitiness and smoothness.
Thanks to the perfect combination of centuries of experience and first-class raw materials, Pfanner Williams Schnaps offers an authentic taste experience that delights connoisseurs and lovers of high-quality fruit brandies alike.
Tasting Note
Colour: Crystal clear.
Nose: An intense aroma of ripe Williams pears, accompanied by a subtle sweetness.
Palate: Full-bodied and fruity with a natural pear note, rounded off by a subtle spiciness.
Finish: Long-lasting and harmonious, with a pleasant fruity sweetness and a smooth finish.
Pfanner Williams Schnaps is ideal as a digestif after a hearty meal and reveals its full aroma particularly well when served at a temperature of 16–18 °C. It pairs superbly with traditional desserts such as apple strudel or pear tart, and also complements dark chocolate or a selection of cheeses. For those who wish to enjoy it in a cocktail, it can be combined with a dash of lemon juice and tonic water to create a fresh and fruity drink.
