The Loch Lomond Distillery’s first site was established in 1814 at the northern end of Loch Lomond, near Tarbet. The distillery as it stands today was founded in 1965 by the former owners of the Littlemill Distillery, a few miles from Glasgow.

Master Blender Michael Henry is in charge of the distillery. Michael grew up next to two distilleries and thus developed a passion for distilling and brewing whisky from an early age. He has been the Master Blender at the Loch Lomond Distillery since 2014.

The Loch Lomond Distillery has entered into a partnership with ‘The Open’. ‘The Open’ is the most prestigious international golf championship, with qualifying events across five continents, also known as ‘The One’.

This bottling pays homage to the championship, which is being held for the 150th time. The championship takes place at the world-famous ‘Home of Golf’, the Old Course in St Andrews.

The whisky is produced by Master Distiller Michael Henry. It is matured in American oak casks before being finished in Bordeaux red wine barriques.

Tasting Note

Colour: Brilliant amber.

Nose: Fruity, complex, with notes of honey, smoke, strawberry, peach and lime.

Palate: Creamy, well-balanced, smoky, oaky, with hints of strawberry and peach.

Finish: Long-lasting.
