Description
Description
Ruinart Champagne Brut is an outstanding champagne from one of the oldest and most prestigious champagne houses in the Champagne region of France. Founded in 1729, Ruinart is regarded as the first champagne house and has since earned an excellent reputation for producing the finest champagne. Ruinart Champagne Brut is sourced from the finest vineyards in Champagne, primarily from the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs regions, which are renowned for their chalky soils that impart ideal minerality and freshness to the grapes.
Ruinart Champagne Brut is produced predominantly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, with Chardonnay playing a dominant role in imparting the champagne’s elegance, freshness and fruitiness. Following the traditional Méthode Champenoise, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, allowing the champagne to develop its fine perlage and complex aromas. The champagne matures on the lees for at least three years, which lends it additional depth and character.
A champagne whose elegance and freshness enhance every special moment.
Tasting Note
A pale gold colour with a fine effervescence in the glass. On the nose, complex aromas of citrus fruits such as grapefruit and lemon unfold, blending with floral notes of white blossoms and a hint of honey and brioche. On the palate, the champagne is fresh and lively, with an excellent balance between fruitiness and mineral freshness. The delicate, well-integrated acidity provides a precise structure, whilst the finish is long and harmonious, with a hint of ripe fruit and brioche.
Residual sugar: 9 g/l
Serving temperature: 6–8 °C
Ruinart Champagne Brut is the ideal aperitif and pairs superbly with light starters such as fresh oysters, sushi or goat’s cheese. This champagne also harmonises perfectly with seafood such as grilled salmon or lobster. For a special treat, this champagne is ideal with delicate dishes such as chicken in lemon sauce or a mild risotto.
