Rodnik's Classic Absinthe 70% vol. 0.7 l – a powerful and aromatic absinthe that combines the traditional art of wormwood distillation with a modern character. Rodnik’s Absinthe comes from Spain, one of the few countries where the production of genuine absinthe has never ceased. With a high alcohol content of 70 % Vol., this absinthe offers an intense herbal blend that delights both when enjoyed neat and in cocktails.

Made from a delicate blend of wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), aniseed, fennel and various Mediterranean herbs, Rodnik's Absinthe combines a balanced flavour profile with a pleasant bitterness. Its robust, spicy flavour and characteristic aniseed finish make it a versatile spirit with a long tradition.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale green with slight golden highlights.

Nose: Intense notes of wormwood, dominant aniseed, light citrus hints and subtle herbal aromas.

Palate: Powerful and spicy, with a combination of wormwood bitterness, sweet aniseed, fennel and floral herbal nuances.

Finish: Long-lasting, dry, with a sustained balance between bitterness and sweet herbal notes.

Serve according to the classic absinthe ritual, with cold water and sugar cubes. Slowly pouring ice-cold water creates the typical ‘louche’ effect (milky cloudiness), which releases the essential oils from the aniseed and herbs. For an intense flavour experience, it can be enjoyed neat in small quantities or on the rocks. Perfect for mixed drinks such as the classic Absinthe Drip, the Death in the Afternoon (with champagne) or as an aromatic ingredient in a Sazerac cocktail.

This absinthe pairs superbly with full-flavoured cheeses, dark chocolate or caramelised nuts. It also offers an intense flavour experience as a digestif after a spicy meal.
