The Tamdhu 18 Years Old Speyside Single Malt Limited Release 46.8% ABV 0.7 l + GB is an intense Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, matured entirely in carefully selected Oloroso sherry casks made from American and European oak. The historic Tamdhu Distillery specialises in pure sherry cask maturation, which allows this 18-year-old single malt whisky to develop a particularly deep and complex bouquet. As an unpeated whisky, it offers an elegant blend of fruit, sweetness and spicy oak.


With an ageing period of 18 years, the Tamdhu 18 Years Old unfolds a rich, mouth-filling profile characterised by dried fruit, chocolate and warm spices. Bottled at 46.8 per cent, without chill filtration and in its natural colour, the authentic character of this sherry cask single malt is fully preserved. This limited-release bottling is considered a particularly expressive example of Tamdhu’s expertise in working with high-quality Oloroso sherry casks. It is presented in an elegant gift box, which further emphasises its premium quality.

Tasting Note

Colour: Natural amber with warm highlights.

Nose: Dry sherry, cherry, milk chocolate, rum-soaked raisins, citrus, oatmeal biscuits, plum.

Palate: Rich and complex, sherry, vanilla, brown sugar, red apple, dried fruit.

Finish: Long-lasting, warming, dried apricot, dates, spices, stewed apple.

The Tamdhu 18 Years Old Speyside Single Malt is excellent enjoyed neat, ideally at room temperature or with a small dash of water, allowing the complex flavours to unfold to their full potential. On the palate, this sherry cask-matured single malt whisky pairs particularly well with desserts such as chocolate tart, fruit cake, date-based desserts or nut-based biscuits. This Speyside whisky also pairs superbly with mature cheeses, dried fruit or pralines, complementing the dishes with its deep, spicy and fruity character.
