Tasting Note

Colour: Bright yellow-gold.

Nose: Sweet and smoky with vanilla, toffee and crème brûlée, accompanied by green apples, banana and subtle notes of toasted nuts.

Palate: Creamy and full-bodied with intense smokiness, honey and caramel, along with brioche, banana and peach, as well as fresh ginger and Talisker’s characteristic peppery spice.

Finish: Long-lasting and intense with black pepper, chilli and spicy smoke, accompanied by nutty notes and a subtle caramelised sweetness.

Talisker SURGE is particularly recommended neat at room temperature, although a few drops of still water can further bring out its sweet bourbon cask notes and maritime smokiness. Culinary pairings for this single malt include smoked salmon, grilled meat, tangy hard cheese or roasted nuts.
