This rum was distilled in 2001 and matured in American oak barrels for over 21 years. The long storage period gives it an intense leathery, woody character, which is combined with a fine spicy flavour. The influences of the American white oak provide a deep structure with notes of vanilla, toasted wood, spicy caramel and dark chocolate.
